Magnolia rebounded with two buckets and a foul shot from Kiara Frazier. Foul shots from Keshunti Brantley, and another Frazier foul shot tied the game at 13-13 as the second quarter began.
The Lady Panthers took the lead on a Janayi Baker three-pointer for a 16-13 advantage. Two Fraizer free throws gave Magnolia a 27-23 halftime lead.
El Dorado regained a brief lead on seven unanswered points out of the locker room. Brantley tied the game at 30-30 on a foul followed by a basket. This touched off a big Magnolia rally as Ti’alone Banks scored twice off El Dorado turnovers.
A Kelcy Lamkin foul shot wrapped up a 15-point Magnolia run and a 42-30 lead early in the fourth quarter.
Magnolia spent most of the fourth quarter at the foul line, picking up nine points. Alexis Martin hit the final two free throws for the 56-44 final.
Frazier led Magnolia with 12 points, followed by Brantley with 11 and Banks with 10. Baker and Lamkin had 5 points each. Martin and Ashanti Humbert had 4 points each. Jadda Purifoy had 2 points.
Tajah Edmondson led El Dorado with 11 points. Braylee Johnson had 10.
